About Trevor

Trevor Evans started Sentinel Home Inspection in 2016 following completion of the home inspection course from Dalhousie University through Carson Dunlop.

Trevor has been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 20 years and has been a military firefighter for 11 years. This has involved doing fire safety inspections for homes and is work he's still doing today.

He's also Wood Energy Technology Transfer (WETT) certified, meaning he can do complete inspections of all types of wood-burning appliances such as wood/pellet stoves and open fireplaces. In addition to that he also uses thermal imaging as part of the inspection allowing for the identification of issues that can't be revealed using conventional methods. One example of an issue it can inform you of is if a roof is experiencing moisture intrusion, which can then cause structure issues if left unaddressed.
